Prolific Pillars

The Prolific Pillars scholarship generously provides tuition assistance in the amount of $2,000 USD for a graduating high school senior in the Essex County area of New Jersey. Winner of the scholarship will also receive 2 application vouchers towards institutions of their choice. The financial award’s primary objective is intended to aid students in their journey towards a debt free education. In addition to financial assistance, the recipient of the scholarship will be mentored to ensure access to professional development and career life coaching opportunities. The scholarship creates opportunities for families sending their first members to college who maintain high grade point averages in high-school and demonstrate high levels of financial need. Extracurricular leadership roles in church, school or community are considered when determining scholarship winners and are highly recommended.

Applicants must also meet these requirements:

  • Must present 2 letters of recommendation from a teacher, administrator or employer.

  • Additional recommendation from a family member is a unique eligibility requirement. (Optional).

  • 1000-word personal essay: Topic: “What makes you a successful candidate for this scholarship? If awarded, how do you intend to pay it forward?”.
